The Nostr protocol allows us to do new things.
Do those things. Focus.
Get up. Think harder.

Nostr DNS is the thing I am waiting for. Then the protocol will only need a few bootstrap relays with the rest discoverable within nostr with zero domain seizure counter party risk.
Thanks for all of it
I want to list some things that I think Nostr has done something truly novel with:
1) Filterable relays + signed notes. Sorry, but this basic architecture is pure genius because of it's simplicit and efficiency. It efficiently bridges the gap between Internet and P2P, by turning the gray area in the middle into a sort of sliding scale.
2) Outboxes. More genius. Efficient horizontal scaling, to create a communications mesh for events. Allows for very small relays, therefore personal relays.
3) Relay communities. They're very new and a giant construction site, but this opens up private, secure, encrypted Nostr networks and file servers.
4) Wiki. I think the wiki is absolutely fascinating because it allows ideas to compete and interact, without demanding consensus. It's peacefull, public debates, disguised as an encyclopedia.
5) Alexandria. Stoked. NIP-62 combined with LLMs is going to be absolutely π₯
6) Zaps. They hardly work and Lightning is a PITA, but making Bitcoin and other micropayments so seamless is here to stay. This is one of those tiny changes, like Amazon's one-stop shopping, that is so elegant, that it's almost invisible.
7) Highlights. Yes, I know other protocols and apps do something similar. But you haven't seen, what we're planning on doing with them. This is my favorite NIP. I'm obsessed with the NIP. I legit dream about highlighting things. π
