Watched Mickey 17, a sci fi film directed by Bong Joon-Ho. It was released in the United States on March 29 2024. A disposable colonist named Mickey (Robert Pattinson) is cloned repeatedly to perform high risk missions on a lethal ice world. A cloning error causes 2 Mickeys to exist at the same time. They end up uncovering a conspiracy created by the colony's leadership. I didn't enjoy this one as much. Especially since Bong Joon-Ho created masterpieces (Parasite, Snowpiercer, The Host). I found the main characters were annoying. The plot was convoluted. Even boring at times. The movie tried too hard to go in many directions: sci fi, satire, adventure, thriller, dark comedy. 6/10 #nodereviews

I saw it on a plane and I agree w you. It's mediocre at best. I did enjoy the villains wife character and the main characters best friend who was constantly causing so much problems. But yeah as a whole the movie was just plain not good.
Its a shame: the director is excellent
