Replying to Avatar ManiMe

Prolific following is a common practice on Nostr, as a way to increase the diversity of one’s “algo free” feed.

But the more prolific followers I follow, the more likely it is that one or more of these “follows follows”are gonna be a bot or bad actor … or generally someone I just don’t want in my own feed.

Blocking helps. Reports help. Other stuff helps, but (so far) these WoT relays do not calculate for these to help prune my “follows follows”.

Nostr needs smarter webs of trust, using opensource algos that people can freely choose from.

But that’s literally a fix that’s already being worked on, can’t expect it all to be built in a day.
