The primary way microplastics get inside your body

is by Eating/Drinking them.

You can only decrease future ingestion of plastics,

there is currently no known way of detoxing

(although many sites sell a "detox")

Stop eating/drinking anything packaged in plastic

Stop heating foods/liquids/ in plastic

Ultra-Processed foods are Full of plastics

Eating Whole, unprocessed, real food will greatly

decrease your exposure to micro/nano-plastics.

Roll with what you got, broski. Also, his example was local; that plastic has likely not exceeded 40*F since packing.

I completely agree.

I'm not a purist myself; I choose my battles.

However, when "influencers" make what on the surface are hard and fast rules to live by, some people take it to an extreme, unhealthy place.

By pointing out the seeming hypocrisy, I'm not only trying to encourage caution for future posts, but also trying to let other readers see that the world - and their health - are not black and white.
