It’s really difficult to understand how other people see the world when it is markedly different to your view.

Your normie friends listen to you talk about Bitcoin, they see NGU, yet not only do they not buy Bitcoin, but they don’t even think about Bitcoin when you’re not around.

How much do you know about the Ethereum Spurious Dragon fork?

Probably nothing, yet Ethereum is the 2nd largest Crypto currency behind Bitcoin with a market cap of $0.5T similar to Bitcoins just a year ago.

So China is an inward looking emerging Empire.

Britain was an empire driven by a tiny Island nation utterly dependant on conquering the world by force and spreading democracy and capitalism.

America created its empire through the adoption of the dollar and its culture via engines like Hollywood.

China is creating its empire by being inward focused. You can go to them and ask to be involved, but they are not looking at the outside world. They have some awareness of the world in the same way your normie friends are aware of Bitcoin, but they are not focused on it.

This has been Chinas approach throughout history, that’s why the Great Wall exists and that’s why they imposed self exile for most of their history.

Their empire will be built by nation states, industries and individuals approaching them.

When you see the world from their eyes, you realise, just like you know Ethereum exists but have to interest in it, that the world exists, but you don’t really have any particular interest in it.

That’s the big picture, you can of course find specific examples which contradict that big picture and if you focus on those, you can create a belief system that aligns with your own, that feels like China is focused on you or your country and those strands of reality will have truth and validity.

But don’t confuse an overlap in a Venn diagram with the whole picture.

We all live subjective realitites. Do you.

Just don't complain about undesirable outcomes.

Stay paranoid.

While you're at it read a book too 😅

It fucked me up hard when it really sank in how separate each of our experiences can be. There is nothing objective in our neighborhood lol

Nope. My sister's and I were raised in the same household and even then we carried different experiences. If I wanted to go deeper I'd emphasis we have unique social locations like age, gender, abilities etc include that with perception and cognitive faculties and then social norms and boom it just get more layered on how and why we perceive the world so differently..
