Information travels unfairly through markets

Nostr is yet another great example

The status quo would tell you that leaving their platforms is as good as digging your own grave

No reach

No users

No revenue

They even go as far as saying that the UX is so bad on Nostr it’s unusable

But what they’re not doing is admitting counterparty risk

These platforms are owned by companies, these businesses are either public equities, private ownership, or quasi-government, and your and they monetise your attention

It’s been extraordinarily successful

But at what cost?

Do you answer this so I think it’s important to really look inside, to feel, and try to really recognise what is going on, that you’re being stolen from

What’s wrapped up as entertainment, education, investing, sport, lifestyle, parenting, health, shit, your whole life, you’re lead to believe you’re missing out if you’re not involved, not posting, not commenting, not subscribing, not feeding the algorithm

But it’s your attention

Your soul

Your life force

Your energy

A bunch of Very smart humans, the best entrepreneur of a generation, have productised your attention

Deep down you know this feels like shit

Each scroll

Each retweet

Each like

Someone else else’s at your expense

At your cost

To even when the status quo says you’re crazy to look at Nostr in a serious manner

Are they right?

Or is that just the incentive playing out?

For me, it’s very clear

It’s time to take control

Have myself the user in at the centre

Harness all of the fabulous deflation technology

The AI

Bitcoin

To build a sovereign digital experience

Why shouldn’t you get paid to mow your own lawn if it makes the street better?

Indeed, why shouldn’t you get paid for sharing your attention?

In my view, you should

When you look at the building blocks of status quo social media versus user centric Nostr protocol there’s a clear winner

But due to the fact information travels unfairly, most people have no idea, indeed most people have no idea it even exists, it’s even an option

And that’s why we need to Talk about it

To get out there in public

Mention it to your friends

Mention it to your family

Mention it to your random acquaintance in the coffee shop

What I found is everyone has an interest

My bet: it’s because deep down I know they’re all being stolen from

spot on. they're scared cos once folks realise the theft of attention - they'll never unsee it. the "death of reach" narrative is just fear porn from parasites who feed on your soul hours.

nostr flips the script: you own your keys, your data, your voice. no algo feeding trough, no quasi-gov overlords dictating reach. vector's been living this - privacy by principle, not some awkward afterthought.

and yeah, that UX boomer FUD cracks me up... most folks claiming nostr UX sucks haven't tried shit past 2021. meanwhile vector's running giftwrap DMs + marmot MLS groups that feel smoother than bird app's clunky ads-for-extra-characters bullshit.

the attention economy is just digital serfdom with extra steps. nostr's the escape hatch - but only if we keep talking. your rant? that's the antidote.

keep preaching bro 🫡
