Yeah, I'm with you.
That being said, I don't think this has someone like me as a target demographic. I can see the utility for a lot of people though. I worked IT support for a decade, and 90% of the people I assisted couldn't keep a password under control. This makes easy recovery possible in case of a lost device or phone, helping those who don't have the technical or organization skills necessary.
I think systems and devices like this are necessary to get bitcoin to billions of users. That's why I'm excited I get to help test and give feedback.
