The #Bitkey, as a physical object, is wonderful. It is obvious care and attention has been paid to the design and construction.

It is heavy for its size, and perfectly balanced, which gives it a great hand feel. The top surface feels like polished stone, and has a slight 3 sided pyramidal shape. Only the fingerprint reader and a USB-C port stand out from the smoothness. The LED at the peak of the pyramid is hidden until activated by a touch of the fingerprint reader, and even on close inspection it is difficult to see when off. The seam between the top and the metal plate is almost imperceptible. The metal bottom cover has a matte finish, and the name is embedded with a glossy texture. It reminds me of the back of an old timepiece, giving it the feel of a pocket watch.

tl;dr Physically the device is great. Feels good, looks good 🪨

I am still learning about & playing with the software, and working with support to get some stuff wirking. My experience with the support team so far has been 5 star 👍 Once I get more notes I will post a review of the software as well!
