He has a track record of promoting scams, merrily, and accepting advertising revenue, while he knew these promotions would hurt people.

Are you referring to BlockFi? I personally lost 7 ETh in BlockFi. So at this point, a little more than $11,000 usd.
I bought the ETH when it was $80 per. I put my ETH along with 2.5 BTC in BlockFi to generate some yield. I was hoping to increase my BTC stack. I got my BTC out in time, but I didn’t get my ETH out. It is true that I invested in BlockFi in part on Peter’s voice and other influencers (Nic Carter, Dan Held, etc) But it was my choice.
If I knew one of the influencers personally and he looked me in the eye and said, “buy this” while knowing I would loose and he would win, it would be fraud.
But personally I think these guys are promoters doing their thing, not fraudsters.
As far as Peter goes…I don’t know if he willing deceived . Seems unlikely to me. He would have very little to gain and a lot to loose. I do admire that he is a builder. He creates things and I respect that.
