The term "woke" comes from the Marxist idea of what they call "awakening to a critical communist conscienceness" which means seeing everything through the Marxist lens of fake oppressor vs. fake oporessed, and "criticizing" the current system so they awaken enough people into becoming woke so they will all want to overthrow the system in a revolution and put the Marxists in power.

They still have all their Marxist aligned teachers throughout schools everywhere.
