How would a zap filter stop you from transmitting notes over relays?
That's called a paid relay. We already have those.
Difference is Elon is unilaterally deciding
Yeah, this is identical to a client with its own paid relay built in even though it's implemented differently, the effect is the same. Users can just move to nostr which has the same effect of migrating off the aforementioned client/relay, only difference is you own your network on nostr.
