Albizia Julibrissin-silk tree-is a personal favorite. They're invasive on almost every continent, they're African by nature and I'm pretty sure they don't need dormancy, though they don't mind it a bit, and you basically don't have to do anything with them. They're used to drought and nutrient deficiency. I lost my favorite one trying to give it fresh soil. They'd probably thrive year round inside.
