Trump gets every asshole on his side, including the warmongers. Siding with him is politically profitable. His admin is largely cutting entanglements with a lot of foreign governments and interest groups, firing energy regulators and replacing them with new ones who will be more quick to greenlight domestic production of energy, if I'm not mistaken. It's as if he's making it politically profitable to make America somewhat self sufficient. I think the military is behind much of this too.
