As much as I'd love to have this feature, the rational part of me doesn't want it because it'll give people incentive to take advantage of this feature and other people.

People often misuse the editing feature on other social platforms to mislead others. They engage people with a false emotional story or others and when they've got enough engagement on the post, they'd edit it to make the post about something else, often for marketing or promotional purposes.

People give reactions to the post based on the original post. We shouldn't give people the incentive to misuse technology.

Editing has its advantages, yes. But you can always delete the post you want to correct and re-post it.
