The pic below sums it up: Realistically this is why no one wants to date anymore. It's just a pain in the ass. There are much more direct routes to the same thing (getting off).

Think about it: if you date a woman who's actually attractive, and that's not an "average" girl in the USA - it's more like the top 10-20% at most, you will be sharing her with other men, whatever you may think. It was acceptable to believe otherwise, maybe, 10-15 years ago before manosphere knowledge was mainstream, but not now. And, you will have learned this the hard way if you dated attractive women already. There is simply every incentive for these women to juggle men, and no countervailing force that would even begin to change the effect, especially since promiscuity is now the "old normal" and widely socially accepted.

De jure, polygamy is illegal, but only if you actually *marry* multiple women. De facto, it happens all the time, and what you have with the women of today is them building what amount to reverse harems or stud farms. Again, of the public that actually dates, we have the receipts now (data from dating apps), if our experience wasn't enough. For young women who do use dating apps, an average case of hookups is several dozen per year. We also know from sociological research that the more partners a woman has had, the less likely she will be able to have lasting relationships.

I would love to believe that "healthy relationships" are possible in our time, as many tell me this is so, and yet I see little evidence for it.

boundaries can't exist without a cost to breaking them. what is the cost to an attractive woman if you catch her cheating ? unless she's living in with you - none. and even if she is - you may not even be able to kick her out legally for like a month - more than enough time for her to find your replacement.

guys who don't know game - keep failing at it until they either give up or learn. if they learn now they're putting in constant work just to have sex with women whom they hate and despise. this is only worth it if you're a sadist and your goal is to hurt women.

for example a sadist like my father would pretend to not know the woman is cheating, convince her to move in with him, ruin her relationships with anybody who might give her a place to stay, and then "discover" she is cheating and kick her out making her homeless. if you have a personality like my father does - who only lives to hurt other people - then dating is worth it for you because after all you need to meet people in order to hurt them.

however if you're a normal person and sadism is not a factor then a relationship has two components - love and sex. you can get "sex" from porn ( or escorts if you're rich ) at a lower cost than from "relationships" ... and as for love it is not really possible anymore because whereas in the past you had maybe a 50/50 chance of being hurt if you fell in love with a woman now it is closer to 95% because they read in magazines how they should have at least 25 partners before they marry and there is never any price for them to cheat but if you lay a finger on them ( literally lay a finger ) you will be in prison if they choose to press charges which they will unless they are using you.

and so guys watch Anime as the closest substitute for love they can get. i don't watch Anime but i do enjoy a good romantic tragedy ( film ) like "Anna Karenina" ... preferably when one that is erotic. this allows guys to avoid completely dying inside without putting themselves into harm's way.

oddly Anime is considered acceptable even though it is a completely fake version of love whereas Porn is considered not acceptable even though it is pretty much 100% real orgasm.

probably because only people who are in denial feel the urge to share their denial with others to reassure each other that they are not in denial. whereas a person jacking off to porn doesn't need anyone's approval and is not interested in forming online communities with other losers on the Fediverse.
