Bsky had a fomo waitlist system. Nostr is always open without wait lists. Harder to generate buzz.

Relays can create FOMO
I think people don’t know what nostr is yet alone what relays are. Creating fomo for relays would be difficult without first explaining nostr.
some folks have told me they know about #nostr but it just doesn’t jive with what I’ve experienced so I encourage them to find out for themselves because the crap I’ve heard was all #BSstr
