i haven't got a lot of actual task done today...

there is now a standard base58check private key encoder done, and i'm reading code on how segwit v2 (native segwit) and taproot addresses are encoded, probably will get this done.

but i'm having an experience with myself that i haven't really had before - that of being doggedly determined but calm enough to keep slogging until i figure out wtf is going on, and make some progress.

i seem to very often have much bigger and more rigid images of what i should try to achieve than what actually needs to be done.
