The feeling of a closure with someone in your life… is priceless.

It feels like the storm has weathered,

What needed to be said was said.

Words that were better left alone were not spoken, as there was no point in voicing them. They would have just hurt, and if the goal is closure and peace, not everything has to be said.

When you see that person, you know they don’t trigger you anymore.

Instead, you only feel love, peace, and acceptance; acceptance of the situation, and of who you have grown to be, and who they are.

No resistance. No “what if”.

Simple acceptance.

You can smile again. You can even hug.

It’s ok, it won’t be too hard.

You respect that person, for they’ve served an important role in your life: showing you something, helping you learn lessons, creating valuable experiences. You honour them for that.

You can keep a warm place in your heart for them. Don’t be afraid. When the heart is full of love, abundance is present.

You just made more space, mental, physical, spiritual.

You can keep moving. You’re good to go.

Resentment is the glue that holds you back from progress

Let it go

And the new world opens up

As hard as it may have been, well done on the progress

Thank you Jake!

Yes… not just resentment, also longing, holding on to illusions that don’t exist in reality… letting go is liberating.
