Was reading The #Bitcoin Standard over breakfast at the hotel bar yesterday. The waiter stops by and ask, “did I see the book you’re reading is about Bitcoin.?” I told him yes and recommended the book.
He said he owned some crypto but not #btc. I told him he should study bitcoin and consider investing. His response: “yeah. I think I’ll wait until the price goes back down.”
I suspect this isn’t an uncommon notion for people who aren’t familiar with bitcoin.
What was your response after he said he'll wait? I have a hard time with that and I hear it all the time. Yes as an investor, it's rational to wait until price drops. But as a flee to safety and protection against inflation, yesterday was the best time, regardless of price.
Maybe the proper response should be to start DCA?
Told him to study bitcoin, that he wasn’t too late and to be careful with other coins. Didn’t have a change to speak much further since he had other tables to tend to and I was leaving.
