Somehow I can't see this poll in the #grownostr or #plebchain feeds.
They should just block it if it bothers them. You could also give people making a post the power to blur the image. If they so choose.
Some people may have pictures and things they really want to post. But only with content restrictions or notice. I can understand that.

I think that ideally, the poster ought to be able to flag their own post for nudity and/or explicit content, or if the poster failed to do so, another user could also flag it, and then each user could choose from three basic options for how content with that flag is handled:
1. The user is fine with that content and it is displayed the same as any other note.
2. The user wants to be able to view it at their discretion, so any images or videos are blurred unless the user actively requests to see them.
3. The user does not want to see such posts at all, so they just don't show up for them.
No, I don't want any third party involved with what I post or how It's posted. They can leave a comment, block it or both.
In other words. Zero power over what I post or don't post. If I want to post something objectionable and give everyone a heads up. That's my decision alone.
Give everyone the tools and power to fully self-censor themselves if they choose to. And If that doesn't work for them, they're in the wrong place..🤔🤠🗽
You make a fair point. Giving a level of control to any third party leaves room for abuse, as well.
I get flags like this all the time on #Amethyst Still not sure what it actually does, though.

I looked into this issue and apparently it is #Amethyst that flagging you.
As I said in the previous post. I don't think any third party ought to have the ability to censor you or anyone else.
They can block your account or complain in the comments. A node can refuse to host you. But other nodes will.
So flagging your account is a surreptitious way of a third party censoring you. Very uncool on a censorship resistant platform.
#Amethyst could give YOU the power to allow others to flag your content, should YOU choose to. But not the other way around. As that's a slippery slope.
Of course the client creator has the power to do whatever he wants. Right or wrong. You can let him know and choose not to use or support his client. And let your followers know too.
He may not understand how inappropriate his flags are. Then again he made just be malevolent, and get some kind of sick psychosexual pleasure out of suppressing or crushing women. That's kind of in today..💻💎🧡🤠🗽
Exactly, it's the old slippery slope. Next thing you know a corrupted government is mandating that you take all manner of deadly pills, potions and vaccines so they can profit off of your injury, death and suffering.
Profit by keeping SOB's like me from telling you the truth that those drugs and vaccines are pure poison. Extremely lethal and deadly. And will kill and seriously injure millions of you and your children.

So far, the overwhelming majority prefer option 2.

I definitely get where you are coming from, here. However, there are definitely situations where people would like to browse Nostr without worrying that their kids or their wife might come up behind them and wonder why there are suddenly titties showing up in their feed.
Right now, it's relatively manageable. There's only a few of us posting NSFW content on a regular basis, and it's easy to block us if you don't want to see it. That's likely to change as Nostr grows and the number of people posting such content grows along with it.
And what about when I want to see it occasionally, but not all the time? Wouldn't it be nice to have a toggle that hides explicit content when you don't want it, but that is easy to turn off for when you do?
More options in addition to simple blocking would be welcome for the above reasons, in my opinion.
To the people who want it censored entirely, though...(So fay no one who has responded to this poll.) Fuck off! You missed the entire point of Nostr.
I have two profiles for that reason... I do have to remember to switch back when I'm done... Lol
