It works like this even with the Amerikwan "culture" - the men in my social circle who got married (which is almost all of the ones I still talk to) pretended like they enjoyed dating but you could obviously tell they didn't. As soon as the chance came to get married and exit all of that, they did.

The one guy whose wedding I was in as a groomsman, he was complaining shortly before he met his current wife about how tiresome it all was (he had dated 50-100 women in a couple of years and I had questioned his sanity for this). And then basically a hot young chick fell in his lap and he never dated again nor wants to. Well, she was 21 but I suppose when you're in your mid-30s that seems like a really good deal. And she was at least smart enough to stop riding the carousel before her eggs ran out.

Another one was dating chicks in LA before moving back here, but he hated LA and complained about how soul-crushing the grind was there, and when he came back after Covid he got married almost immediately after dating the other guy's sister a short time and fell into his natural Italian mama's boy / family man role.

Another one is a half-Jewish guy from Jersey, the most successful guy in the circle, and he met some chick in college and just stayed with her ever since.

Another one is also half-Jewish and was with the same woman for a long time but I think she divorced him but I don't know for sure and I don't care enough to find out.

Then there's the Jewish guy that lived down the street from me where I grew up and he's in Vegas now - already been married and divorced and he is still dating, but he was always having woman problems for his whole life. You can't help this kind of person.

A side note here - of those guys only the Italian guy had children so far. And this is after years of marriage for all of them. We'll see how that goes.

These are examples of revealed preference - though it seems high status to date hot women, basically no one, as revealed by what they actually do, wants to do it much. Unless they are degenerates.

As for meeting new girls, after exiting my MGTOW / shut-in phase, I found out again how easy it is to meet new ones even if you are older (although the Zoomers out there probably think I'm around the same age or just a bit older). New ones will literally show up all the time. But the drive to actually date them isn't there. Being around hot women is more like an energizing feeling than anything else whether you're in the gym or on the dance floor. I don't need to physically possess them to get it, and of course if I did I would face all the problems I used to when I dated women in my younger days - with a good deal less patience for it. And I wasn't exactly patient then LOL.

I'm not completely opposed to sexual relationships if it happens naturally but I don't have the romantic yearning of my youth that can make me drunk with desire like in those days. I kind of miss it but you can't wake the dead.

And you're right, men get duped in prostitution masquerading as marriage all the time. Most of them don't even get laid again past a short period of time. I can't imagine why anyone would do this apart from conformity, and I've found in most cases that's what motivates it.
