It's a difficult one, as libertarian ideals are very appealing and are good imho to strive towards, but come up against practical limits in the real world with interactions with others, all of whom have different rational, emotional, individual and group responses and allegiances.
Unless one does everything for oneself, you are going to have to make concessions and deals with others for those characteristics. That's politics. Party politics is a messy superset of that, that's easier to dismiss by judging issue by issue on its merits.
Also as the saying goes - "You may not be interested in politics, but politics is interested in you" - know thine enemy and negotiate as appropriate 👍👍
