Here’s what I’d do:

- creator’s media hosted on personal DWN

- posting video has note and link to media

- likes are sats

- reshares download to the resharers dwn and posts to their followers

Popular videos pay creators, reshares help seed and spread videos

I really like that. We could use this for so much more than just "Nokstr" 🤣 we could use this method to decentralize all images and videos across Nostr.

Hmm. I like the DWN resharing P2P aspect of this. People have asked me about locally hosting images and videos instead of using one of the services out there to upload serve content from and I've always said that we don't have the bandwidth to handle viral content at home. However, if reshares of the content also allow that person to become part of the data distribution network for the content, then that helps to solve that issue. I like it.
