I would just inverter the bg colors in the light theme, and probably lighten a little the grey one.

Some things get lost in implementation.
Nice, the key generation is a must. And it could be further improved with an informative startup wizard (what a key is, how to save it, basic security suggestions, which apps you can use right away with the extension).
