I've been thinking about ducks for a while, I've heard they are pretty messy and need a pond or kid's pool to play in. I live in a neighborhood on 3/4 of an acre but I'm still tempted to grab a couple.

Don't let them commingle with wild ducks or use the same water or hang out in the same places. It seems that bird flu only spreads in the wild, but it kills in captivity. This is secondhand, so please follow up with some DIY research.
