Knots, core, or v30?
My 13 year old son took my old Raspi 4, wiped it and put nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct on it. Took weeks on the IBD but he stayed strong. Then he spun up a lightning node and now he's waiting on Electrys to index. Probably finished now but he's in bed.
No. I did not help him at all other than giving him the Raspi.
Curious, did he have any previous knowledge? Just figured everything out on the go using internet/AI? Awesome either way 🤘
Since he was a baby he's been listening to Bitcoin podcasts every time he was in the car with me. Same goes for his sister but she was about 3 when I fell down the rabbit hole.
No way he couldn't have picked something up by osmosis. I told him about the importance of running a node. But, in the end, he picked Umbrel and did all the dirty work. I had to explain why the IBD was taking so long etc. but this was pretty much all him.

Our little node is doing some heavy economic lifting all while streaming on Nostr 24/7 and hosting all the spam 😄 It's so Metal that they had to cut undersea cables yesterday in the Red Sea, disrupting internet in Asia trying to silence us 😉
