He is a good guy and I would hate it to see him get rugged. If I can support my story with some proper sources I’m pretty sure I can convince him
Everything can happen for a second time. History is full of the same failures, over and over again. Varying in size…
I can’t provide with the info you’re asking about, but if your guy doesn’t want believe it can happen again, I think he can only trust you on your words, do more research himself or learn through pain.

True, everybody needs to learn in their own pace. They either need to start trusting people who have had the experience or have studied it more. Or they need to go through the same process… no other routes available and you cannot influence their actions more than sharing your knowledge
