On desktop, my YouTube starts with a blank feed. I use an extension to rewrite titles and replace default images from screenshots in the video. I only see content I specifically search for. It’s been a great experience and reduces the chances of getting sucked into binging video after video. Highly recommend.
Mobile not as fortunate :( but I tend to just watch the stuff I’m interested but the clickbait is there and annoying.
The advertisements on YouTube are so annoying I don't think I could binge YouTube videos one after the other, sitting through 3 minutes of advertising between videos, even just for listening to music it's too annoying, I end up closing the app when I'm between videos and the 3rd or 4th unskippble ad starts.
Brave browser blocks and skips ads for me. More and more often though I have to sign in as YouTube will blackout content. So wack
