Posting this on Twitter with 2800 followers gave me 21 likes, posting it here with only <200 followers gave me 12. Freedom lovers on Nostr are way more open about unknown foss projects, than the drones over on Twitter!

The problem is that all swiss regional political audience is staying on Twitter, they are too lazy to learn about Nostr π π.
Itβs certainly true that people are more open about FOSS on Nostr but also thatβs the kind of theme that will get shadow banned on X. So hard to do apple to apple comparison.
Apple to apple comparisons are boring anyway ππ. I think there is a barrier of entry when switching from mainstream networks to non-mainstream. Thus people who do the switch early and take that initial "risk", are more likely to show anti-swarm behaviour. I assume the larger the network grows, the lesser the barrier of entry, the larger the swarm behaviour (popularity contest).
But yeah, you are right about the algorithm / shadow-banning, those do the rest to enforce monopolies and suppress new ideas on mainstream networks π..
