A question to people who have moved to Costa Rica with kids or had kids after they moved there.

My wife is from Costa Rica and we have been planning for a while to move there in a few years. Earlier this year we had our first child here in europe where we currently live. After a lot of research we have both come to the conclusion that we do not have any intention of vaccinating our child and that is a decision they respect here without and problems, but from what I understand, you have no say in the matter in Costa Rica. How has other people done? Are people just staying as tourists and doing border runs to get around this law or is there another way? I was planning to become a Costa Rican citizen and our child aswell but not sure that is an option anymore. Have a great day everyone! #costarica #vaccine

After a little research I believe you do not have to have children vaccinated in Costa Rica

My wife said the child protective services takes you kid away if you don't comply, which sounds nuts to me but...

I see many people are doing border runs, you can however get residency if you were to have another child in the country and I believe a $200 000 investment.

Panama is also another country I think worthy of exploring, residency seems to be easier to obtain with a lower investment of $100000, or employment in the country, tax incentives are also good

Apologies not “and an investment “ or an investment

I can get residency or citizenship easily in Costa Rica as I am married to a Costa Rican, the problem is (I think?) that if I do or my children do get citizenship, we must obey Costa Rican vaccine laws, as a tourist I would not have to I think. I would like to not having to deal with border runs preferably, also don't want to poison my children if possible.

💯, there was a time I was for all vaccines, thank God for BTC teaching me not to trust but verify, then CoVD came and I got to practice. Now certified complete anti vaccine poison . You’re a great father 🥰

Yes, I never really thought about questioning them, until I did, and read a few books and I find them questionable at best and evil at worst. Thankfully we have the freedom to chose still where I live, but I will have to find a solution in Costa Rica in a few years.

Just tried zapping you but not sure why it didn’t go through 🤦‍♀️. Shall try again later🤩
