They are certainly harder to find among all the noise out there.
There's still some great art out there. "Stray" was a more recent work of art that comes to mind.

When your psychic goes low you start to experience 100s of hallucinations. One is the blue screen of death, others it looks like theirs a fly on screen. Easily the creepiest game I have played
That does sound pretty unique. I love games that think outside the box.
