Happy Mother's Day, Nostriches. I've noticed that most people these days seem to not understand some fundamental and unchangeable differences between men and women, beyond the obvious and changeable physical differences, I mean.

There are always exceptions of course, but generally, protecting and providing for our physical needs come easily to men, and nurturing and guiding our spiritual needs come easily to women. Just as we can not have zero time preference because we need oxygen, food, and water in the short term in order to get to the long term at all, the role of men is generally to provide for our immediate, short-term needs, and the role of women is to provide for our future, long-term needs. That's why misogyny in all its forms is a telltale sign of a high time preference civilization, one that's degrading into ruin and on the edge of collapse.

So, on this Mother's Day, and hopefully every day, be grateful to your mother for making you the man or woman you are today. All you women who are raising the next generation, you are shaping the future for all of us. And all you women who don't have children (whether not yet, or because of personal choice or physical limitations), you are no less nurturing to everyone you interact with, and are ever helping to shape a brighter future for everyone.

Happy Mother's Day. 💜
