nostr:npub1q3sle0kvfsehgsuexttt3ugjd8xdklxfwwkh559wxckmzddywnws6cd26p on the mkstack homepage it says "One command deployment with Surge". I"m trying to find out more information about "Surge" but I can't find anything. Is this a library/component I can use in my own apps to publish sites? Many thanks for any info. 🙏

Oops thanks for the heads up! We used to deploy with Surge but we've switched to Nostr-native hosting now with NostrDeploy.com. I'll update the website!
But to answer your actual question, Surge is a static hosting service. Super easy and free, although its closed-source. They recently when down for like a week straight, though, which is why we switched:
I guess you know about this already. 😅 I look forward to learning more!

I'm curious to know how nostrdeploy compares with e.g. nostr-webhost. It would be good if there was a standard for publishing and displaying small static websites via Nostr.

There is a NIP proposal for Static Websites hosted on Blossom Servers and Nostr Relays:
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1538
So, NostrDeploy.com implements this NIP:
https://github.com/sepehr-safari/nostr-deploy-server
One can simply deploy their sites with a single command using nostr-deploy-cli:
Awesome, thanks!
