I do follow people but sometimes go over there to check for newcomers but that was disturbing today…phew

I just block such accounts.
Same here but eventually there will be such a flood that this won’t suffice. There’s also the issue with the image making it’s way to the brain which is something I’d like to avoid. It’s like drinking a sip of poison every time before removing it.

Just blocking this after the fact is not enough.
Hopefully this can be fixed
I’ve set it so images don’t auto load
Careful about reading posts before going to the image
But again , this will become a big problem
Stay out of the global feed and don’t auto-load images
