how the hell does Intel just hand the U.S. government 10% of the companyโ€ฆ worth $11B?

this must be why Lutnick pushed for an American Sovereign Wealth Fund, to bucket the portfolio

Intel, MP Materials, General Motors, Amtrak, US Steel, Fannie & Freddieโ€ฆ

Because INTC lost $20B last year and struggling. Biden gave them $10B cash infusion, Trump just wanted to get something for that $10B. With the US govtโ€™s stake, INTC has a strong backer that can bail them out. It is a win win for them.

That remains to be seen. State ownership is not necessarily increasing performance. But I agree better than giving them 10b outright.

Yeah especially if it's burning through cash and not having anything to show for it

In Germany it would be the first ai chip with its own pronouns....

Nah, it's actually a clever move.

The initial deal was a bailout/right off, but now Trump's doing an equity purchase instead of a free handout.

No only does that reinforce Intel in the market, but American taxpayers become equity owners instead of just using tax money to bail out Intel Corp.

IMO a better deal

Btw this is what China does, and many other countries. USA just catching up here

All these large corporations are not sustainable without endless fiat money printing and slave labour.

Apparently one GPU vendor is worth more than the GDP of Japan. LOL. Argentina Mode: accelerate

What was that Mussolini's said...

"Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power."

Yes, but "corporate" here doesn't mean specifically large enterprise. It means any organized body (corporation) of men, including especially trade unions.
