Trump: I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It's pretty boring stuff. I think really only pretty bad people, including fake news, want to keep something like that going.

Interest and fascination: justice - who were his clients and the victims?
Seems reason enough to stop paying federal taxes. Why would someone be so interested in funding Washington DC?
This cover-up accomplishes two things:
1. Protects establishment power brokers who would've been implicated.
2. Undermines Trump's credibility with his base, thereby protecting establishment power brokers (who would've been implicated).
