I now completely believe that people don’t … use their banks … meaning, they just get their salary, and spend it with the card, and once or twice in their life time get a loan.

They don’t transfer money between each other. They don’t send money internationally. They don’t do transfers money between bank accounts.

If people used their banks to transfer money they will very quickly be hit with the reality of how this system is broken AND designed to control our money.

You're not wrong.. To many, a bank is just a facilitator of the convince of not needing to carry cash. While the situation where I live is quite different than the US, the array of fintech products that grease the gears of daily transactions, leading to somewhere similar.
