I hear you. But if you want to convert the money to fiat to spend it. Or if you want to spend the BTC straight then that's going to slow you down. Memorizing 12 words is more for HODLing no?
There are site that you can convert your btc to giftcards and buy stuff with a gift card. There will always be a way. The thing is bitcoin makes you work and think when you out and traveling.

because there is no point carrying your #bitcoin ( in mind or in a cold wallets) if no one accepts Bitcoin payments ..
Not saying it is useless - it is still the best store if value - which is huge .. but there is no point in carrying it from country to country unless you are making a permanent move ..
