Hi everyone. New here. Why are pictures blurred? Is it a security feature? Are there risks to clicking in images? Thanks

Welcome could be a vpn issue and hopping locations solves it, i cant speak too much on damus tho

Yes many clients blur images by default as a safeguard. You can usually adjust them in settings.

Yes.

Images are blurred to prevent accidental exposure to NSFW content. So, when you click them, they will get unblurred.

In Damus, if you go to Settings -> Appearance, you have an option 'Always show images'

This will make sure that all images are shown.
