Is it just Australia where when someone asks you a question, they have no interest in the answer?

CANT tell u how many times I get asked a question and before I can answer they either walk away or show disinterest in the answer

Some even go as far as “I don’t give a shit, what are u telling me this for”

Or is this a global thing?
