Do you think it’s an outdated tactic for me to go around town and hand my resume out to businesses of interest? #asknostr

nobody does the in person thing anymore

Not at all. Especially if they're a smaller business and you can speak directly with the manager.

Exactly! I think I want to go that route, I can’t stand indeed

Indeed has become a dating site.

no

Depends on the business but I think it's still a good idea.

not at all. may be your best shot to get hired. they love when they actually get to meet you in person

exactlyyy, i can’t be formatted to just a resume online, i can’t transcribe my personality like that

exactly!

i did this once, and i’ve never received a job offer more quickly - from multiple places

I call them and ask of I can bring my resume by.

I've gotten multiple positions, that way, and my husband also did.

Ooo calling beforehand is smart, thank you. going back to the basics, it feels necessary in this time where online job listings are endless and never fruitful

It's a good tactic. Definitely call beforehand if it means doing a lot of driving. Many businesses will not accept applications or resumes in person anymore. They will tell you to go online and use their system to sent it there. Interested to see how you go. Keep us posted.

No it's not. It's a unique approach some businesses are want nowdays. Having one on one conversation out of the box is valuable and appreciated. Some might not be happy but some will be.

Go for it 🫡

You get it, thank you
