Our knee jerk reaction to being offended at a topic should be to lean in and engage more,

be more open,

be more curious…

not run screeching… or what is more common, telling ourselves in foolish delusion that we are above that topic, we are too mature or too intellectual, sophisticated, cultured, educated, etc.

We view ourselves as high and lofty, we are simply better than those commoners who think about such topics… We have other, more important things to do… bullshit… in such cases and in such times we are found wanting and weak.

If that is you, your pride will continue to tell you such priorities are impressive, they are not. Chest your cards.
