Are you using a leaf shredder to grind your char?

I am. I've put about two full garbage cans through it and it works well so far.

What do you use the shredded newspaper for?

Worm bedding, compost, amending soil while planting trees and just started trying it as mulch.

I'm getting about a box a week from the local paper. I fugue it is a good way to get more carbon onto the property.
