It’s crazy how much mainstream western society seeks to undermine the role, and even very definition of, the family. It’s sickening once you see it.

Yup. And you see ever more of it as you learn more. This is also why kids are treated as incompetent and disrespected... the parents willingly accept the standards put in place by other people and by force.
