Nostr Web Client

The scale of all my interactions and all the interesting conversations I ever had on Nostr is so small, and so nich and honestly so selective, that ActivityPub or mailing lists or any other message passing protocols would have been more than sufficient.

And this is a white pill.

I agree. Sometimes you just need to experience the alternative to appreciate what you had.

Biggest issue with Nostr is lack of engagement. The chronological timeline is just aids. One person that posts a lot could drown out 20 interesting things from people that rarely post.

And because most developers don’t care about users, they’ll never address it.

I am ok with that, I think public timelines with infinite engagement was not good for anyone. And people managed to make friends before it, in forums, and even ICQ, remember that 😅

Apps like https://fraidyc.at have solved this problem without algorithms.

Just order the activity by most recent person instead of by most recent content.
