I like the journey that Paul Saladino took (and I did similar but not to the same extreme).

He was strict carnivore for several years, but then he went #AnimalBased. Basically, he still leads with meat/eggs (including organs), but he also has substantial amount of fruit, honey, maple syrup, butter, raw goat's milk, etc.

I do all of the above, but I'm not going to lose sleep if I decide to have a dessert or vegetable on occasion. Yes, I generally pay the price...especially depending upon the sugar content of the dessert or if it had gluten...but that's part of living.

The rest of the time, I'm doing the #AnimalBased up above with the additions of chocolate and bourbon (regularly) and occasional red wine (1-2x/month).

By the way, my bloodwork is in great shape, I have plenty of energy and carry about 11% body fat without much effort...although I do lift or play tennis/pickleball about 6x/week...sleep is great, etc.
