Today's been a bit annoying at work. It's not my best welding day. I'm much more picky about my welds than anyone else, so having an off day winds me up worse than most. Still, I love a neatly arranged stack of parts, they all meet spec, and the customer will be happy to have them on time. Even if I know that the welds holding everything together "should have been better."

I've had to do janky stuff to get jobs done.
But yeah, these are fine. Just not as good as I can do, which annoys myself.

I am in no means a welder in any way.
I don’t own a welder so I’ve had to diy it a few times.
I can’t even stop myself from grabbing the hot tip of a soldering iron every time I use mine.
I can't tell you how many times I've burned myself welding or soldering. LOL!
If you ever wanted to learn, I can point you in the right direction. I have a pretty good track record of being a good sounding board for getting people into the right track if they want to own to weld for fun or profit.
I'll show you my work next time I weld. That will make you feel better.
Maybe, but I'm not critical of most other people's stuff, at least not like my own.

Robots are starting to get used more, and eventually, they will be used more and I'm sure that AI is going to be influencing the capacity of those robots to weld, but, you've still got more work available than current supply can keep up with. So, it's a good time to learn and get in on it.
