(I sent you a zap tho :)

Thank you...just curious, does one need to receive bitcoin on the btc core wallet to own bitcoin though?

No. Bitcoin Core is software that participates in the chain’s network. They are responsible for maintaining the chain, broadcasting transactions along other roles. Everyone and anyone can run one and is encouraged to do so.

“Owning” bitcoin means that you have the keys over some amount of bitcoin. This might be on lightning or the main chain itself. You don’t have to run a node to use bitcoin, and the nodes cannot take your bitcoin. They only maintain the list of whose bitcoin belongs to who, effectively.

But bitcoin core is also considered a wallet, right?

Yes. Bitcoin Core has an optional module that includes a wallet. The wallet can be moved to other apps and uses the same technology as other wallets.

Are all blitcoin/block explorer considered mainchain?

They will say on them which chain they’re displaying. Multiple explorers support displaying the bitcoin main chain (aka timechain) so they are multiple people/companies views of the same chain.

Mainchain?which of these chain is the mainchain?

bitcoinexplorer.com

mempool.space

blockchain.info

coin.cz

live.blockcypher.com

These all support looking at the bitcoin main chain. I recommend mempool.space and blockstream.info.

I was also sent bitcoin on testnet (w/c i believe doesn't have monetary value), and i know it's a stupid question but i just wanted to know if someone needs to own bitcoin and not from lightning wallet to own real bitcoin?i am just truly wanting to know/feel/see,if how is it to be a recepient from a bitcoin core wallet...anyway i am truly thankful, but from where i coming from truly,it is curiousity or just truly a stupidity not understanding bitcoin...

Definitely not stupidity, most people won’t know these ins and outs when they use it so consider yourself an early adopter! Lightning is real bitcoin - it’s a scaling layer that improves payment experience on top of the main chain. Lightning enables bitcoin to move at much faster speeds, more privately and (for everyday sized transactions) for low cost.
