What is Linux laptops? If you mean MacOS compared to Linux, you can install Linux on Macbook with M processors. If you talking about hardware, Apple makes it beautiful designed and quite durable.

For example Air can work all day and it can work from battery all day and it does not have active cooling, which means you don’t have to disassemble it every year to clean it from dust - there is almost none in it. Of course, Macbooks are expensive, the corporation is watching you, and there is almost no possibility of upgrading. But if you look at the prices of laptops that are offered as an alternative (system76), you can conclude that Apple products are quite competitive.

But no one installs Linux on Macbooks! - so many people don't agree with you that MacOS is worse than Linux...

Agreed on the benefits of Apple hardware. I have been a long time user because they just work and have never caused me major headaches...until now.

My hope is that a linux laptop company will be unable to abuse market monopoly power to extort me and leverage state monopoly on violence to intimidate free market competitors from undercutting their extortionate pricing models. They have to compete fairly in the free market, unlike Tim Apple. This aligns with my values and I get a little bonus nerd cred for running on Linux. :)

I agree with your point, the problem of wild prices for repairs at official service centers and Apple's legal battle against unofficial ones is absolutely wrong and evil. The fact that there are really few relatively good laptops for Linux and Windows does not justify the exorbitant price for the Apple brand...
