I'm hoping it dries up because I still have acres of leaves to move. Then I’ll probably stage some logs to split into firewood this weekend. Maybe I’ll get into something else. Just trying to keep busy before the ground freezes.
Yep. I used to heat with wood. Wood heat warms you at least 5 different ways/times: cut, move, split, stack, burn, carry out ashes. Depending on where you are, you might have to add another step or two to the process.
We have a few maple trees, and the leaves don’t cause much of a problem. Sometimes I mow them in the fall, and other times they blow over to my neighbors’s yard, and he mows them.
