Most self custodial ones require an initial on chain deposit to get a channel open. That’s the only proper way to do a Lightning wallet outside of running your own Lightning node.

Basically I intend to have so little left that I couldnt do an on-chain and really not worried about losing if need be.

Yeah, that works too. I figured for $6, I’d rather just be done, closed, and move on.

Ok cool. I just wasnt sure if there was something I was missing in that they made no suggestion of sending to another. Im talking about maybe a couple thousand sats most after my purchase so not worried about that in alby.
